Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as an American rapper and singer, making sly songs that addressed issues such as racial and sexual identities with a funny twist. Prior to her move to Hollywood the singer could release a number of songs. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. She also received the classical and jazz education later when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. Following graduation, she decided to pursue music as her main focus. The track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. The track was later included in the album debut Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album featured other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. This track was directly linked to another project, Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. After a successful career as a musician She chose to assume the role of an actor. In addition to early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018, with several high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her EP "In Fina We Trust".
